About Us

The Louisiana SHRM State Council represents human resource professionals in the State of Louisiana and is supported through the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a non-profit professional association founded in 1948. SHRM is divided into five regions across the country. The Louisiana SHRM State Council is part of the Southwest Central Region. The Southwest Central Region consists of the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.

Louisiana has 10 local SHRM chapters across the state, each that provide programming and networking opportunities in the local area. In addition, there are student chapters which connect college students in the state to SHRM.
