    Louisiana SHRM Vision

The vision of the Louisiana SHRM Council is to be the voice of the Human Resource profession throughout Louisiana in matters relating to business, legislative issues, and professional development.

    Mission Statement

Louisiana SHRM’s mission is to provide Human Resources strategic direction and guidance through collaborative partnerships with businesses, organizations and the Human Resources professionals in our State.

    Louisiana SHRM Strategic Goals

On February 3, 2017, the Louisiana SHRM State Council held a strategic planning session to set the course of Louisiana HR for the next three years.

As a result of this intense, full-day meeting, the following goals and initiatives were adopted:

    1. Serve Louisiana Human Resources Professionals
      • Over the next three (2017, 2018, 2019), create synergistic relationships with our local chapters through collaboration, networking and support that strengthens the partnership between the Council and local chapters in Louisiana.
    2. Be the Voice of HR in the State of Louisiana
      • By 2020, have State and Local Legislature and media outlets think of Louisiana SHRM or its affiliate chapters as the first point of contact in the state for input on all issues related to Human Capital.
    3. Create a succession plan and diversify the State Council
      • By December 31, 2020, increase new volunteers by 6 in order to create a diverse qualified pool of future council volunteers.
